Motorcyclenight is a weekly bike night held in Lowell Massachusetts. Each tuesday night during the summer up to 1,000 bikes fill the riverside park across from Heritage Ice Cream on route 110. For 2006, MCN's 10th anniversary season, GTS Video partnered up to film highlights of the tuesday night event as well as other weekend promotions with MCN participation. The short, low-quality clips hosted here are chapter previews for a full-length DVD that was produced in 2007 and is available at Motorcyclenight's merchendise page for $10. If you attended Motorcyclenight in 2005 or 2006, there's a good chance you'll see yourself on film. Fire + Iron Bikini Bike Wash - 7/29/06 Held at the Lawrence Mass Relief Inn, this event was put on by a local chapter of Fire + Iron. Nashua Harley-Davidson, RJ's Motorsports of Nashua, and the lovely ladies from Hooter's of Salem were in attendance. A very hot day and a very successful event - it's always great to see hard-working girls and guys enjoying themselves, and it was good to have someone to put out the fire. Daisy Duke Photo Shoot - 8/22/06 A very busy but popular night. The General Lee replica car + bike were provided by Spadafora Choppers of Malden Mass. MCN models posed for a professional photographer and for every cell phone + digital camera that was at the event. Some overhead video + stills were also shot from a 30' high scissor lift. Knucklebuster Bikini Bike Wash - 8/6/06 This rally in Peabody Mass was organized by Knucklebuster and featured models from Lollipop Magazine. Hot Chaps Contest Night - 7/11/06 This yearly event is always a crowd favorite at motorcyclenight. Six lovely ladies modeled leather from Nashua Harley-Davidson. First prize weht to Aleshia in the green top; second to Shiela in red; third to Stephanie in yellow. Ball of Death - 6/20/06 Round steel cage has been in these performers' family for almost 100 years. Measuring only sixteen feet across, somehow there was enough room in there for two dirtbikes, the lovely Olga, and MCN's own Steve, all at the same time. Lightning added to the show as a thunderstorm moved by at the end of the night. MCN Girls Short clip of lovely ladies in the crowd. Between bikes + beautiful girls dressed for summer, there's always plenty to see at motorcyclenight + all of it's good for morale. Trooper Paul F. Barry Memorial Ride - 9/16/06 Memorial ride for this State Trooper and father of seven who died in June of 2006 on the way home from his shift. Hosted by Dale at the Outlaw Barbeque in Foxborough. Planning for this event was started by my friend Cheryl Willis and it ballooned up into what you see here: an unbelievably beautiful indian summer day after weeks of cold and rain, and hundreds showed up to pay their respects. Just fantastic to stand under that flag and feel the patriotism and support. Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police MDT Motorcycle Detailing and Transport Motorcycle's of Manchester, in Foxboro Great North Woods Ride - Labor Day Weekend 2006 Roads + scenery from Northern New Hampshire. Troop Support Video - 7/4/07 Featuring the 1/319th AFAR 82nd Airborne and C Company, 1/181st Infantry, Mass National Guard. To be last in line means you put everyone ahead of yourself and then you stand behind them: There is no better example of that than our past & present armed forces. I had agreed months in advance to film the "Support Our Troops" bike rally at the Outlaw in Foxborough, but until that night I had no idea that the PGR and I would be seeing some of my personal friends and riding buddies being deployed the next day. I had disqualified from enlistment with that very same guard company in 2005. Sturgis, South Dakota - August 2007 Life, Death, And Resurection: can you tell which one is which? Reflections on the impermanence of man & nature after walking away from a 55 mph crash. Pittsburg New Hampshire - Winter 2005 Anyone that snomobiles in New England knows where Pittsburg is, and it was the only place with snow that year. Footage from a week-long trip staged at the Timberland's resort with the Arlington Mass Crew. Tough call but these guys are almost as entertaining as the Hooter's Girls. Pittsburg New Hampshire - Winter 2004 Another week at the Timberlands, this time in brutal cold weather one year earlier. Same crew. Nose Camera Experimenting with a helmet cam velcroed to the nose of the sled. A cool perspective but setup time would really hold up a group; also a higher mount would put a lot more into the background. Spanky's Sled Repair Nothing funnier than a laugh at a good friend's expense, especially when he's hung over, it's 15 below zero, his POS sled won't start + ten other guys are waiting to hit the trail. The "moose guy" having a slow start one morning at the Timberlands resort. Lancaster Fair - Labor Day weekend 2006 Annual big fair in this small NH town. No height requirement for the helicopter ride. A Call To Duty - 6/29/2005 City of Cambridge celebrates 230 years of freedom courtesy of United States' Armed Forces on the anniversary of the U.S. Army. Public Works ended up getting disqualified for alcohol + lack of life jackets but we had more fun than the geeks in spandex. 238 Broadway Demolition - Spring 2006 S + R Demolition makes some open space in Cambridge with a giant excavator. Watch this former city building get reduced to rubble. Captain America - Summer 2005 Stowaway Marine of Chesterfield New Hampshire provides the fastest boat on the Connecticut river. Father Gus' 40th Anniversary Presentation by my dad for the 40th Anniversary of my uncle's ordination as an Orthodox priest. The video recalls their seminary days at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline Mass, and was presented September 17th 2006 at a reception for my uncle in San Fransisco. Philadephia Trip Weekend trip to visit my sister and new nephew in this very historic and patriotic city. Some ghostly landmarks including an elevator lobby that reminded me of 'The Shining.' Fayrah and Mathew's Baptism My niece & nephew get double-dipped into the Greek Church on February 3rd, 2007. A beautiful service at my dad's school chapel with tons of family and friends. Papou's 70th birthday present: The Ark Mom's surprise gift was a big hit, and the weather was appropriate too. A metaphor for the security and protection of the vehicle of family, piloted by young and old alike. October 27, 2007. Agia Anna Chapel: Dumont, Colorado Mountainside chapel at 8,000' just east of the Continental Divide. Property belongs to St. George's Greek Orthodox Monastary in Denver. November 11th, 2007. St. George Snow Tubing Trip - Keene NH Snow tubing at Granite Gorge with the youth group from our Greek Orthodox Church on 2/17/08. |
